Patterned Floors
Patterned Floors were very popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries; they have now made a return and are very fashionable again.
The most popular pattern is Herringbone, blocks come in standard sizes of 15mm and 20mm, they also now available in engineered so would be suitable for underfloor heating.
We have recently finished doing a Herringbone pattern floor for the Honarable Artilery Company in London and at the Emirates Stadium for Arsenal Football Club.
Emirates Stadium
The Emirates Stadium is the home of the new Arsenal football club, we were asked to source a timber that was very hard wearing but unique in its appearance, the colour had to be red because that was the colour of the home team kit.
The species of timber that most suited the decour of the sponsors lounge bar was a timber called Jarrah this orignates from Australia it has a deep red tinge to it.
In the photographs on the portfolio page you can see that the floor really stands out with its rich colour.
Honourable Artillery Company
The Honourable Artillery Company was Commissioned by Queen Elizabeth 2nd. It was set up to comerate servicemen who died in wars figthing for our country. They hold events and dinners for war veterans passed and present.
The floor had to be of a classic design in keeping the building which is hundreds of years old.
